Superior Air Flow of Direct-Action(tm) pallet valve action  
The Direct-Action pallet valve action provides angular pallet valve movement. This angular movement allows the pallet valve to move away from the chest toehole in a sideways direction allowing air to flow to the toehole without going past the entire pallet valve. There is a direct straight path from the chest interior to the chest toehole. This is not a complete unobstruction, but a partial unobstruction that provides superior air flow improvement on large toeholes.

The Direct-Action pallet valve is designed for the pipe organ industry for both new organs and restorations. The angular motion of the pallet valve provides a gradual opening and closing rates for the pipe toehole. This provides an environment for improved initial pipe speech and closure. Reed pipes and large flue pipes will realize the most significant improvement in speech. Reed pipes will start quicker and large flue pipes will not "POP" when released.

Pinless Hinge Design with the Direct-Action(tm) magnet  
The Direct-Action pallet valve armature hinge is a constant pressure design. There is no pin incorporated in the hinge. The armature sets directly into the action frame and is held in place with spring pressure. The constant spring pressure insures that the hinge will never begin to click with age. Pallet valve alignment is also insured during the life of the magnet action.

Corrosion Resistant Parts in the Direct-Action(tm) magnet  
The Direct-Action pallet valve action is manufactured from corrosion resistant metal parts. All metal parts are either plated, or made of stainless steel.

The spring is made of annealed stainless steel. The springs are bent into shape and then annealed to guarantee a constant force for life.

Never again will you need to worry about humid and salty climates corroding the spring or hinge and rendering the action useless.

Heavy Guage Metal Construction in the Direct-Action(tm) magnet  
The Direct-Action pallet valve action is manufactured from 12 and 16 guage plated steel. The actions solidly built. There is never a problem with distortion of parts due to over tighten attachment screws.

The actions are resistant to bending caused by accidental movement during the chest construction process. They stay put.
